About US
The Arc and Anvil was started in 2001 by Don Mills. Driven by an obsession with cars, Don has held many positions in the care, maintenance, repair, and restoration of the automobile. It all began in the late 1970’s with Don’s beloved job as a gas station attendant. After restoring his father's 1965 Oldsmobile 442, Don continued to gain experience by managing core rebuilds and restorations at a major British Spare Parts Distributor. He held various positions at mechanical and body repair shops, culminating in opening his own shop in 2001. Don stays current with the best automotive techniques and materials, keeping up with automotive society literature and manufacturer publications. With our attention to detail and desire to achieve perfection on every car, Arc and Anvil Automotive Restoration is the perfect choice for high quality repair and restoration jobs.
He is a member of The Oldsmobile Club of America, Studebaker Driver’s Club, North Carolina ABANA, and International Automotive Appraisers Association, as well as a NADA advisory board member. Don also owns Bullseye Automotive Appraisal, an appraisal company which serves all kinds of customers in establishing value in many cases including pre-purchase inspections, diminished value, and insurance/court disputes.
